Print Project

woven bangle bracelet
Step 1 |
Measure and cut about 6' of raffia. Fold in half to find the center point. |
Step 2 |
Thread the bangle bracelets onto one end of the raffia and slide them down to the fold at the center. |
Step 3 |
Arrange your bracelets so they are aligned together, loop to loop. |
Step 4 |
Take the raffia on the right side, wrap it over the top of the right bracelet, then thread it through the middle of the bracelets and arrange so it is coming out through the left side. Now, take the raffia on the left side, wrap it over the top of the left bracelet, then thread it through the middle of the bracelets and arrange so it is coming out through the right side. Pull the crisscrossed raffia tight. |
Step 5 |
Repeat Step 4 until raffia is woven all the way around the bracelets. |
Step 6 |
Wrap the end around the loops in a “X” shape and tie in a knot underneath the bracelets. Trim the ends and use hot glue to secure. |
Step 7 |
Use jump rings to add charms to the loops on the bracelets. TIP: To open and close a jump ring, simply grasp the jump ring on both sides with chain nose pliers and twist the ring open, from side-to-side. Never pull the jump ring which can cause distortion.
