Print Project
personalised teacher crayon shadow box
Step 1 |
Remove the back from the shadow box, then measure and cut the black cardstock to fit. You can use a few dots of hot glue to keep it in place. |
Step 2 |
Arrange the crayons in rainbow order on your work surface. You will not need the black, white, gray or brown crayons. |
Step 3 |
Now, cut a piece of kraft cardstock about 1½" [3.81 cm] the length of the crayons. Make sure the tips of the crayons are all lined up evenly, then glue the strip to the centre of the crayons. When the glue hardens, you can turn this piece over. |
Step 4 |
Cut a strip of kraft cardstock 2" x 12" [5.1 cm x 30.5 cm]. Spell out the teacher's name or any other message using the adhesive letters and stick them down onto the strip. Trim the ends to remove any extra cardstock. |
Step 5 |
Glue the strip of crayons onto the black cardstock in the shadow box, then glue the name strip on top of the crayons. |
Step 6 |
Create a "nameplate" with the school name, year, grade, etc. Print it onto yellow cardstock and trim it down. |
Step 7 |
Use adhesive dimensional foam dots to adhere it under the name strip in the shadowbox. |
Step 8 |
Clean the glass on the inside and outside of the shadow box, then attach the backing in place. |
