Print Project

fish salt painting
Step 1 |
Paint an entire canvas board with one background colour. Let dry. |
Step 2 |
Draw a fish (or other shape/drawing) with Elmer's® glue. |
Step 3 |
Sprinkle the wet glue generously with salt. Be sure to cover every bit of glue! |
Step 4 |
Tip the canvas over a trash can to pour off the excess salt. |
Step 5 |
Add water to your watercolours. |
Step 6 |
Dip your paintbrush into the watery paint, then lightly touch the end of it to the salt. The salt will wick the liquid and spread the colour into the salt/glue. Keep adding paint in different colours, until the entire salt and glue drawing is coloured with watercolours. Set aside for several hours to dry. |
