Print Project

3d paper woven easter egg
Step 1 |
First, click here to take you to Cricut® Design Space™ where you will find the paper flower, butterfly and circle designs. You will need to manually bring in the wave. To do this:
|
Step 2 |
Cut the pieces from assorted coordinating cardstock. Cut all of the pieces for the woven egg, butterfly and dimension flowers. Set aside the butterfly and flowers pieces. |
Step 3 |
To assemble the egg, place one of the circles, face-down, onto your working surface. |
Step 4 |
Now, arrange the pieces from one pattern evenly around the circle, again with the pattern facing your working surface. Make sure the ends are all pointed around in the same direction and hot glue the pieces to the circle, creating a pinwheel-like shape. |
Step 5 |
Repeat Step 4 with the other pattern. The direction of the ends should be pointing in the opposite direction as the ones in Step 4. |
Step 6 |
Place one of the pinwheel-like shapes on top of the other with the circles aligned in the center and the pieces around are off-center from each other. |
Step 7 |
Weave the pieces from the bottom layer over the top layer pieces. |
Step 8 |
Turn the circle as much as you can and then repeat Step 7. |
Step 9 |
Repeat Step 8 until you cannot turn the circle anymore, then weave around the egg from the bottom to the top. |
Step 10 |
Hot glue the top ends wound another circle. |
Step 11 |
Assemble the flowers and hot glue around the top of your egg. |
Step 12 |
Glue the solid wings to the back of the open butterfly shape. Bend the wings at the score lines and glue to a flower as desired. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
