Step 1

MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 50" x 60" [134.5 x 152.5 cm]

GAUGE: 10 dc and 5 rows = 4" [10 cm] in pat

SPECIAL STITCH(ES) EXPLANATION(S):
 - Bobble: (Yoh and draw up a loop. Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook) 4 times in indicated st. Yoh and draw through all loops on hook.
- Popcorn: Work 5 dc into same stitch or space. Drop loop from hook. Insert hook from front to back into first dc of 5 dc group. Pull dropped loop through st.


INSTRUCTIONS: 

Note: Ch 3 at beg of row counts as dc.

Ch 133 (multiple of 8 ch + 5).

Row 1: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook (counts as 2 dc). 1 dc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 131 dc.

Row 2: Ch 3. *Popcorn in next dc. 1 dc in each of next 7 dc. Rep from * to last 2 dc. Popcorn in next dc. 1 dc in last dc. Turn.

Row 3 and Alt Rows: Ch 3. 1 dc in each st to end of row. Turn.

Row 4: Ch 3. 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. *Popcorn in next dc. 1 dc in each of next 11 dc. Popcorn in next dc. 1 dc in each of next 3 dc. Rep from * to end of row. Turn.

Row 6: Ch 3. 1 dc in each of next 4 dc. *Popcorn in next dc. 1 dc in each of next 7 dc. Rep from * to last 6 dc. Popcorn in next dc. 1 dc in each of last 5 dc. Turn.

Row 8: Ch 3. 1 dc in each of next 6 dc. *Popcorn in next dc. 1 dc in each of next 3 dc. Popcorn in next dc. 1 dc in each of next 11 dc. Rep from * to last 12 dc. Popcorn in next dc. 1 dc in each of next 3 dc. Popcorn in next dc. 1 dc in each of last 7 dc. Turn.

Row 9: Ch 3. 1 dc in next st. 1 dc in each st to end of row. Turn.

Rep Rows 2 to 9 until work from beg measures approx 58" [147.5 cm] ending on Row 3. Do not fasten off.

Step 2

Edging Rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in next st. *Ch 3. Bobble in 2nd ch from hook. Ch 1. Skip next 3 sts. 1 sc in next st. Rep from * to end of row. (Ch 3. Bobble in 2nd ch from hook. Ch 1. 1 sc) all in corner. Cont around edge of the blanket, **Ch 3. Bobble in 2nd ch from your hook. Ch 1. 1 sc. Rep from ** evenly around the blanket edge having (Ch 3. Bobble in 2nd ch from hook. Ch 1. 1 sc) in each corner. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
