Loops & Threads® Cozy Wool™ Merino Mock Cable Mitts

These warm and cozy mitts are the perfect project for beginners or if you are new to knitting cables. Knit flat in mock cable stitch, these mitts are a quick and simple accessory to stitch. One ball of Loops & Threads® Cozy Wool™ Merino is all you need for a pair of these gorgeous mitts!

Étape 1
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Circumference = 7¾" (8½", 9¼”) [20 cm (22 cm, 24 cm)] and Length = 7" (7½", 8") [18 cm (19 cm, 20 cm)].
GAUGE: 21 sts x 27 rnds = 4” [10 cm] in pattern, save time and check your gauge.
PATTERN NOTES: Mitts are worked flat end to end and then seamed.
SPECIAL STITCHES:
- K1, P1 Rib (Multiple of 2 sts +1)
- Row 1: *K1, p1; rep from * to last st, k1.
- Row 2: *P1, k1; rep from * to last st, p1.
- Rep Rows 1-2 for pattern.
- RT (Right Twist): K2tog but do not drop sts from left-hand needle; insert right hand needle between 2 sts just worked and knit first st again, slip both sts from left-hand needle together.
- Mock Cable Rib (Multiple of 4 sts + 1)
Row 1: P1, *k1, RT, p1; rep from * around.
Rows 2 and 4: K1, *p3, k1; rep from * around.
Row 3: P1, *RT, k1, p1; rep from * around.
Rep Row 1-4 for pattern.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Mitts (Make 2)
Cast on 41 (45, 49) sts. Work in K1, P1 rib until piece measures 2” [5 cm] from cast-on. Work in Mock Cable Rib until piece measures 6" (6½", 7”) [15 cm (17 cm, 18 cm)]. Work in K1, P1 Rib for 1” [3 cm]. Bind off.
Finishing: Beginning at cast-on edge, thread yarn onto tapestry needle and sew approximately 4" (4½", 5") [10 cm (11 cm, 13cm)] leave 1” [3 cm] opening for thumbhole, sew seam to top edge. Weave in ends.
