Step 2 |
Adjust size of angel wings, if desired, and click ‘Make It’ in the top right corner of your screen. Click ‘Continue in the bottom right of the next screen. |
Step 3 |
Choose ‘Heavy Chipboard’ as your materials and place the chipboard onto your StrongGrip mat. Add masking tape around the perimeter for extra hold. |
Step 4 |
Add the debossing + drive housing to clamp B and let the Cricut® deboss the decorative design for the inside of your angel’s wings. |
Step 5 |
Switch out the knife + drive housing in clamp B and let the Cricut® cut your angel’s wings out of the chipboard. |
Step 6 |
Cut a piece of scrap chipboard (or cardboard) so one side is 6" [15.2 cm]. Hold the wings at the top of the chipboard (or cardboard) piece and wrap yarn around them about 15-20 times. Cut the yarn from the skein. |
Step 7 |
Cut a 12" [30.5 cm] piece of yarn and thread it through the loops of yarn on the chipboard. Arrange the yarn so it is even, then slide it up to the top of the yarn wraps. Tie a double knot. |
Step 8 |
Now, cut the loops open at the bottom and remove the 6" [15.2 cm] chipboard (or cardboard) piece from behind the angel’s wings. The wings should peek out from each side of the yarn strands. |
Step 9 |
Cut a 10" [25.4 cm] piece of yarn. Move the two tails from the top knot so they are out of the way; then wrap this piece around the outside of the yarn strands 1-2 times. Tie a double knot in the back. Trim ends. |
Step 10 |
Slide the wrap from Step 9 up the yarn strands as far as you can go and smooth out the strands. |
Step 11 |
Trim ends so they are even across the bottom. |
Step 12 |
Thread a bead onto the yarn tails at the top of your angel. Tie a double knot right above the bead and an overhand knot about 2½" [6.4 cm] above the double knot. Trim ends so they are even. |
