Sharpener not up to standards
Didn't work out of the box and ended up returning it. For the price this seems to be cheaply built, expected a sturdier product with the X-Acto name brand.

Worth Every Penny
This electric pencil sharpener is worth every penny. It sharpens pencils to a nice point and doesn't cause breakage like so many of the handheld sharpeners or less expensive electric sharpeners do. Definitely a necessity if you plan on using pencils for drawing, drafting, or sketching.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great electric pencil sharper. Has a longer cord for easier plug in. It isn't too loud when using the sharpner. Sharpens pencils great. The top comes off for easy disposal. I like the sleek design of the sharpner. It is smaller than most desk sharpener, but just as powerful. It turns off when your pencil is sharpen, to keep from oversharpening. Which is a great feature when you have kids that like to try to oversharpen their pencils.

Excellent Pencil Sharpener

It sharpens really nicely, and is fast! We were able to sharpen 12 pencils for school in less than a minute. Very easy to clean, and it stores nicely in the closet if you don’t have a desk space to keep it at.

Best sharpener I have used.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't think I would enjoy using a pencil sharper this much. I was sharping every pencil in the house. When I use a pencil I like it to have a good sharp point. This sharpener absolutely will deliver that. What is also nice is the auto cut off, it keeps it from over sharpening the lead and shearing the point off. What is also nice is it will sharpen color pencils. Again a very good sharpener.

Very fast and easy

Powerful sharpener
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do allot of drawing and coloring. So having a sharp pencil or colored pencil is important. I’ve used hand sharpeners before and mini electric ones, but they took long and never got a pointy tip. This X-ACTO sharpener looked to be high quality and powerful.
This sharpener is large, but its size is vertical, so it doesn’t take up much room on my work desk. Its has a good size power cord, so I’m able to keep in in the same spot and not move it to reach the outlet.
A huge plus about this product is how much shavings it can hold. It does state in the instructions that it should be emptied out when it gets around the spinning blades. But that still is allot, considering how often I had to empty my small sharpener. The container is easy to empty. Just by flipping it over, twist and then dump. I did have a few shavings end up on my desk, but overall it was simple to not make a huge mess.
As I stated above, sharp pencils are important to me. I was able to take a new pencil and after a quick trip into the sharpener, it came out very pointy. The sharpening didn’t take long. Once you hear the machine power down slightly, that indicates that it’s done. It’s nice that this product lets you know ( with sound ) that your pencil is sharp, because I hated when I would break my pencils tip from over sharpening. I’m not the only one impressed by this item, my kids love how easy it is to use. This definitely is going to be used allot in my home, especially if my kids are using it.
This sharpener isn’t quite, which I didn’t expect it to be, but it also isn’t to loud or annoying.
I would definitely recommend this. It is easy to use, sharpens fast and effectively, and would work great in not only an office space but a home space also.

Sharp Tooth

We were not at all impressed with the quality or function of this unit. Had to press really hard for the unit to work and it sharpened unevenly allowing the point of the pencil to consistently give way. We ended up purchasing another brand.

Quick and easy

In short it does exactly what it's supposed to. This is definitely a small applience to keep put up in a home setting. Unless you want all your pencils ground up. The kids enjoy it a little to much.
