Classic & perfect
The original, works great. I considered one of the fancier ones with the padded grip, but decided to stick with what I know.

not the best quality
I bought this knife to make pop up cards from card stock. The blades are wobbly, and the very tip of the first blade broke off. It comes with replacement blades so I tried the next blade. The tip of the second blade also broke off. They were still usable but obviously I had to be very careful not to tear the paper instead of cutting it. Round lines became more difficult, and the edges just not as clean. I haven't gone through all the replacement blades yet because I didn't want to see if all of them would break, but I have a feeling they will.

Does what it's supposed to do
I use X-ACTO knives often and have had no problems. I would like to offer a suggestion to X-ACTO and that's to add a rubber type tube on the handle, as that would be more comfortable and steady the grip. I added one to mine and it made a world of difference.

Quality is terrible
It is so cheaply made that even tightening it all the way will not completely secure the blade. Buy a different brand than Xacto- their quality is just unacceptable for the price they charge

Works as Expected
Still does the job, but handle is thinner and more lightweight than the one I had from 25 years ago.

No safety cap?!?
This came without a cap. There's no safe way to store it in my desk drawer, pencil cup, or travel bag.
