wood burned candle top

Add a personal touch to this candle by wood burning a name on the lid. It’s the perfect gift for the holiday season!

Print Project

Step 1

Choose a cute font on your computer or cutting machine and design a name. Print it out to size to fit on the wood lid.

Step 2

Lay a piece of graphite transfer paper under the paper print-out and position it on top of the lid.

Step 3

Use a pencil to trace the printed-out name. The graphite paper will transfer the name to the lid.
TIP: When the wood is burning, make sure to wear a mask and do so in a well-ventilated area.

Step 4

Choose the nib that works best for the style of font you want to transfer to the wood top.
TIP: The packaging of the Versa-Tool® can aid you in this choice.

Step 5

Allow the Versa-Tool® to get hot. Slowly burn over the graphite markings.
TIP: Do so slowly and do not push hard. Going back over the wood burn and layering is the best way to achieve the best results.

Step 6

To finish the gift presentation, tie ribbon and a bow around the rim and add a cute gift tag of your choice.
TIP: Be sure to remove the ribbon and tag before lighting the candle.
