Reflect on a woman who has inspired you and make a banner to show your respect.

Print Project

Step 1

First, click here to download and print the template; then cut out the patterns.

Step 2

Trace the patterns on cardstock and cut out.

Step 3

Create a banner to honour a woman whom inspires you with symbols, words and a paper doll.

Step 4

Glue the pendants together and punch holes for threading.

Step 5

Use yarn to create the banner.

Step 6

Make tassels to embellishment your banner.
TIP: To make a tassel:
- Cut a 10" [25.4 cm] length of yarn and an 18" [45.7 cm] length of yarn. Set aside.
- Wrap yarn around the palm of your hand eight times and slide off without interrupting the loops.
- Slide the 10" [25.4 cm] piece of yarn between the loops and the cardboard and move up to the top. Tie a knot at the top of the loops.
- Wrap the 18" [45.7 cm] piece around the outside of the loops, about ½" [1.27 cm] from the top knot. Wrap around the tassel a few times and tie a knot in the back.
- Cut the bottom loops open and trim to even tassel strands.

Step 7

Tie your tassels to the bottom of each pennant of your banner.

Instructions
