Create these whimsy and spooky cupcakes for your next Halloween bash!
Step 1 |
Transfer the ready-to-use buttercream to a bowl and give it a good stir until smooth. Tint the icing with a few drops of bright green gel until you achieve a vibrant bright green shade. |
Step 2 |
Put bright green buttercream into a piping bag and cut the tip. Pipe a ring of buttercream around the outer edge of the cupcake. |
Step 3 |
Take out a small portion of black fondant. Knead it until smooth and pliable and form it into a ball. Form the ball into a log that is long enough to wrap around the edge of the cupcake. |
Step 4 |
Wrap the log around the sides of the bright green buttercream ring. |
Step 5 |
Pipe small dollops of bright green buttercream on top of the cupcake with some going over the edge of the black fondant ring to create a bubbling effect. |
Step 6 |
Drizzle green glitter glaze on top of the buttercream. |

Take out a small portion of bright green fondant. Knead it until smooth and pliable and then form a bunch of small balls. Place the small balls of bright green fondant on top of the cupcake to look like bubbles. |
Step 8 |
Take out a small portion of black fondant. Knead it until smooth and pliable and form it into a ball. Form the ball into a skinny log and allow to set for about an hour before sticking it into the top of the cupcake. |
