wire wrap seed bead earrings
Step 1 |
Measure and cut 18" [45.7 cm] of 24-gauge wire. |
Step 2 |
At the bottom curve of an earring, wrap one end of your wire about three times. Slide on a glass cube bead, then wrap the wire around the ear wire about three more times (on the other side of the bead). |
Step 3 |
Now, add six sapphire faceted beads onto the wire, which is just enough to wrap around the top of the cube bead. Drape the beaded wire over the first bead, in a rainbow manner, and wrap the wire around the ear wire on the other side. |
Step 4 |
Repeat Step 3 with a different bead style for five more beaded layers. |
Step 5 |
Wrap the wire around the ear wire about three times and then cut the wire as close to the wire as possible. Use your chain nose pliers to smooth the wire flush against the ear wire. |
Step 6 |
Carefully open the loop at the bottom of a fishhook, slide it onto the loop at the top of the ear wire and close the loop on the fishhook. |
Step 7 |
Repeat Steps 1-6 for a second earring. Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels |
