Description
Winton is a traditional range of oil colours, made from moderately priced pigments, formulated for student and amateur artists or more accomplished painters requiring large volumes of colour within moderate cost limits. A high level of pigmentation provides good covering power and tinting strength. While it can't match the superior pigment load of Winsor & Newton Artists' Oil Colour, the Winton range is much stronger than many other artists' quality ranges. Winton uses moderately priced pigments rather than lessening the pigment content to an unacceptable level.

I buy the larger tubes
Good paint at a fair price. I usually buy the larger tubes to save money and dispense the paint into smaller containers when I travel.

Sap green the color of mountains and trees
The sap green is my color of thousands trees and fields with a dot of red I can make landscapes that exists in my mind. The mist intense pigment that adapts very good to cadmium yellow and a little white to bring the trees out.

Good coverage & saturation
Winsor & Newton is a very good, reliable, vibrant oil paint. It has good color saturation and a nice flow. I've never had an issue with it. I would like to see a thicker, creamier consistency as another choice but this has always been one of my major paints in my inventory.

Great value, available for local pick up too
For someone who is just getting into Oil Painting, and inspired by Bob Ross and other wet on wet painting, this was a great purchase to get certain colors in larger tubes. Worked well and very pleased with my first two paintings. I only wish the manufacture would put the color on the lids. If I have 4 tubes open, I would like to quickly identify which cap goes where so they colors dont mix in the cap.
