Description
Winton is a traditional range of oil colours, made from moderately priced pigments, formulated for student and amateur artists or more accomplished painters requiring large volumes of colour within moderate cost limits. A high level of pigmentation provides good covering power and tinting strength. While it can't match the superior pigment load of Winsor & Newton Artists' Oil Colour, the Winton range is much stronger than many other artists' quality ranges. Winton uses moderately priced pigments rather than lessening the pigment content to an unacceptable level.

High quality paint for a fair price
This is the paint we used in college for studio arts and is a good beginner/intermediate paint. The vibrancy of it is amazing too!

Great brand of oil paint
I use Winsor & Newton oil paint as a glaze for wood projects. 2 coats of shellac first seals the wood pores & allows the glaze to be feathered or removed if needed using mineral spirits.

Good value
It's not the most pigmented paint, of course - but i don't always need that; it's just fine to work with and a very good value. Michael's has it prices a little high - but wait for the coupons and it's then a Very good value.

The paint is amazing, Quality. I've just started using it and so far I'm impressed. The down side is that it's pretty expensive.

Flexible loose oil paint
Wetter than average oil paint compared to other brands. Paint does not dry as fast and very flexible with full color.

Show your True Colors
Winsor & Newton oil paints are consistant in quality, texture and color. I know the Prussian Blue will be the same color as the Prussian Blue that I just finished because both were products of Winsor & Newton.

Good, bright white
Great paint, of all the oils I use by Winsor newton this one takes the longest to dry FYI but it gives a good bright, especially if you’re painting snow and you need that white white highlight

Great paint for most all levels
I began painting a couple of years ago and my teacher uses the WN brand, so I began with them. I find them to be overall easy to work with, although they can be oily at times. I really wish Michaels would carry the Griffin brand of WN paints as well - they seem to be a higher quality. But overall, I'm very pleased with these paints

Oil paint
WN has been in business many years and delivers quality paints. The only draw back to the Winton line is that these paints have more linseed and less pigment than the WN artist grade paints. Once you learn this, all is well in terms of how much thinner, if any, one would use.
