Empencils from
These are not water soluble!
As regular colored pencils, these are great. But I bought these specifically for the water color abilities and they absolutely don't work. I'm very disappointed because I saved up for these for a while.

With these pencils, water-solubility is a major issue. The pencil marks did not dissolve with water - I tried applying more water and pressure to try to get the color to dissolve and got to the point of almost ruining my paper with no results. I also tried to use these to make on-the-go watercolor palettes, but even when I used enough pressure to get a lot of pigment on the paper, the product just did not want to mix with water and I couldn't get anything even close to something I could use. I got slightly better results by physically dipping the pencils in water and using them on wetted paper, but that wouldn't be necessary with a good product. I expected a lot more out of this brand and I wish I could go back in time and spend my money on something else.

These are nice with soft lead and vibrant colors. Please add to the color selection and sell open stock.
