I have used other brands, and the Winsor & Newton Burnt Sienna creates a clean color and is often recommended in professional run watercolor classes. It is my favorites palette.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from JUICY!! This is a beautifully vibrant pigment that re-wets nicely. My only con is that it granulates JUST A WEE BIT. This is not an undesirable trait in a WC pigment, it simply is not one that I expected nor is it on the tube identification. Mox Nix, it is juicy and magnificently transparent with good tinting strength but lifts with reasonable ease.
