Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is a winner! I love the Artisan Winsor and Newton Water Mixable paints for many reasons. Number one, it is a healthier option because I am not breathing harmful chemicals. It cleans up with water. It dries faster than traditional oils while still giving me time to blend or even rub it off and begin again. Also, if I can't paint everyday, I can place a cover on my pallet and place leftover paint in the freezer without destroying the integrity of the paint. Lastly, the company offers a wonderful variety of colors at very good prices. I love this paint!

I bought this one by mistake not realizing there is a difference between the regular oil and the oil water mixable paint but it has worked perfectly. The beautiful red is just right. I had no problem using it with the regular oil paint and it could be much easier to clean!

I use only water based solvents with the paints as well. And you can also combine up to 10% of your reg. Oils not waste and it is still easy clean up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Let me tell why I love water mixable When painting, I’m about to skipping hassle like cleaning, smell strong fumes, buy solvents. That’s why use water mixable quite often and this artisan series is my choice, for the price and availability. It doesn’t smell as strong like regular oil which is nice because I love in small studio apartment . The way I use it is use less water, just the fresh paint itself, and just a tad of water to dilute or you can use gel medium also. They also mix/blend easily with other color. For cleaning brushes also easy, I just use hand soap and water.
