Great looking frame - double mat has shadow effect
Great looking frame for long aspect ration pictures. I occasionally re-cut the mat for one long 5"x15" opening. Doing that is cheaper than ordering a custom frame.
I also like the black frame / mat. I've purchased many of these for my art.

PREVIOUS ISSUES WITH THIS FRAME HAVE BEEN RESOLVED
Based on the other two reviews, I was skeptical about purchasing this frame: a) I have had similar experiences in store with not being able to purchase the frame I wanted because the whole stack was thrown on a shelf and each one had significant defects, and b) I was ordering this on-line for curbside pick-up. However, I am so pleased to report that the frame was in perfect condition when I received it. It came with corner covers and was wrapped tightly in plastic. I wanted to decorate it myself and add cup hooks (both decorations and hooks from Michael's as well), and I am so glad that I gave this frame a chance. It is beautiful-- exactly what I wanted. Don't hesitate to buy this frame if it's what you are looking for as well...

Horrible quality
I also went to multiple stores to get this frame and out of 8 frames in stock in those stores only one was in good condition. There are chips and marks in the paint. I have been buying these double matted frames for about 10 years and the last two to three years the quality has extremely deteriorated.

Good luck
These are beautiful frames but good luck finding ones that aren’t damaged in some way. I went to three Michaels stores and every one had a ton on the floor but they were all nicked, scratched, smudged, etc.
