welcome fall shadow box

Use your Cricut® machine to make this beautiful Welcome Fall Shadow Box. Adding Fall floral elements gives a touch of nature to your décor!
Step 1
Use your Cricut® machine to make this beautiful Welcome Fall Shadow Box. Adding Fall floral elements gives a touch of nature to your décor!   Step 1 Remove the back of the shadow box and re-cover with burlap. Use hot glue to secure. Step 2 Cut picks apart an arrange Fall florals as desired. Start from the bottom right corner and work towards the center. Once you have them arranged as you like, use hot glue to hold them in place. TIP: You may have to cut some of the elements creatively to make them fit inside the shadow box. Make sure the arrangement will fit inside the box before gluing them into place. Step 3 Reassemble the shadow box. Step 4 For the vinyl sentiment, click here for the design in Cricut® Design Space™. Step 5 Click ‘Make It’ in the upper right corner. Click ‘Continue’ in the lower right corner of your screen. Step 6 Place your vinyl, grid-side down, onto your cutting mat and load it into your Cricut® machine. Select ‘Vinyl’ as your material and follow the prompts to cut out your design. Once the machine has finished cutting, gently peel the vinyl away from your mat. Step 7 Use scissors cut around your design, removing it from the vinyl sheet. Next, use your weeder tool to peel away the remaining negative space surrounding the words. When you’re done, only the design itself should be left on the backer paper. Step 8 Cut a piece of transfer tape that’s just a bit larger than the design. Peel away the tape’s backer paper and place the tape, sticky-side down, over your design. Burnish the vinyl so that it’s completely stuck to the tape. Step 9 Now, gently peel the white backer paper from the cut-out design, which now should be stuck to the transfer tape. Step 10 Hold the transfer tape with the design over the glass, at angle, in the lower right; then press it onto the surface. Burnish the vinyl once more to make sure it’s completely stuck to the surface and gently peel away the transfer tape, leaving the vinyl transferred to your surface.   Share your project photos with #MakeItWithMichaels
