Welcome your students back to school with a fun crayon banner.

Print Project

Step 1

First, click here to download and print the template; then cut out the shapes.

Step 2

Trace a pennant pattern onto various cardstock, one for each letter in your banner. Cut out the shapes.

Step 3

Lay all of the pieces out onto your working surface and assemble each crayon pennant for your banner. Use your adhesive tape runner to attach the pieces.
TIP: Use the image as your guide.

Step 4

Arrange in rainbow order and attach a letter to each crayon pennant spelling "WELCOME".

Step 5

Punch a hole at the top left and top right of each crayon pennant.

Step 6

Now, thread twine through the holes at the top of each pennant to complete your banner.
TIP: Make sure to allow plenty of twine on either end for hanging.
