Create a custom banner to welcome the kids back to school! Simply choose your banner shape and your message, cut it out, assemble and hang!

Print Project

Step 1

Open Leonardo Design Studio™ and find or create a banner shape and also add your greeting. Choose your font and size to fit each letter on each banner.

Step 2

Size and duplicate the design as many times as needed.
TIP: Make sure all of your designs fit within the cutting mat area.

Step 3

Place your cardstock on your cutting mat for the banners. Load cutting mat into the Juliet™ cutter.

Step 4

In Leonardo™ Design Studio, select the pre-set cut settings for your material and cut. Remove cardstock from cutting mat when complete. Repeat for additional pieces.

Step 5

Now, for the letters, place your EasyPSV® material, grid side down, on your cutting mat. Load cutting mat into the Juliet™ cutter.

Step 6

In Leonardo™ Design Studio, select the pre-set cut settings for your material and cut. Remove vinyl from cutting mat when complete. Repeat for additional layers.

Step 7

Use scissors to cut the designs from the sheet to save any unused vinyl. Next, use your weeder tool to peel away the remaining negative space around and/or within your design. When you’re done, only the letters should be left on the backer paper.

Step 8

Cut a piece of application tape that’s just a bit larger than each letter. Peel away the tape’s paper baking and place the tape, sticky-side down on each letter. Burnish the vinyl with a EasySqueegee™ so that it’s completely stuck to the tape.

Step 9

Now, gently peel the white paper backing from the cut-out design, which now should be stuck to the application tape.

Step 10

Hold the transfer tape with the letter over each banner to determine where you’d like it placed; then press it onto the banner. Burnish the vinyl once more to make sure it’s completely stuck to the surface and gently peel away the application tape, leaving the vinyl transferred to the banner. Repeat for all the letters of your greeting.

Step 11

Adhere the mini flowers to banner as desired.

Step 12

Lay out all of your banner pieces in order to see how much twine you will need, plus extra twine on each end to hang. Cut the length of twine, then clip each banner onto the twine with small clothespins.
