Soak longer
Used up 3 sheets before realizing you need to let the decal soak much longer then directed. Like until you can see the decal separate from backing.

Decal paper is very delicate but did work
Reviews were mixed but I decided to give this a try. I've been working on a model car so the pieces I made were very small (46mm x 1mm). I printed a bunch of what I needed on one sheet in case I messed up. After printing I let it set for 24 hrs. I then sprayed with Dupli•color Acrylic Lacquer. I did about 6-8 passes, let it dry for 20 minutes then did another 3 or 4 passes. I let that set 24 hrs. I cut out my pieces and put in room temperature distilled water for over 30 seconds as recommended. I messed up two of these until I figured out there's a bit of a technique to this or at least there is if you're doing small pieces like I am. Use your thumb and forefinger to start the process of removing the transparency from the backing paper. Just a little though. Then place the decal on the area you want the print to be. Hold the decal with your thumb and then carefully and slowly slide the backing paper from underneath. This seemed to work best. The other thing is to make sure you have the decal right where you want it to be because trying to move it around into position will ruin it. The transparency is very delicate. I see why some other people said the decals turned to mush. It does. I messed up two before I figured out what worked best. The model car I'm working on is 3 1/4" x 1 1/8". The black line that runs on the side of the car is the piece I printed and applied.

Works just like plastic model decals
I'm not sure why this has received such a "meh" rating. So far it has worked just fine for me. I think that the key is that you need to make sure that it is well-coated with clear coat. I used Rustoleum Crystal Clear Enamel, and I've had no issues. The problem with leaking could just as much be user error as it is product error, so take the negative ratings with a grain of salt. I printed off the decals, let the sheet dry for 24 hours, applied multiple coats of the Rustoleum so that I was sure that everything was covered, and let *that* dry for 24 hours. The decals worked beautifully. No leaking, no smearing, and they slid right off just like they should. So I'd say that as long as you don't rush it and you make sure that you apply multiple layers of clear coat and allow everything to dry accordingly, you should be fine.

The best I’ve found!
I’ve tried many many brands of water slide paper from amazon and none compare to this brand! All the other brands tear or curl up and you can’t fix it. This is so easy to work with if you know what you’re doing!! I won’t use another brand, but I beg of you to please start carrying it in white as well!!

Horrible!
I printed out the design and sealed it 3xs. Put in the water and still the ink ran. The paper tore when I tried to pace it on my mug. Sometimes the ink even came off in the water. I will never buy this product again.
