valentine's day resin pendant
Step 1 |
First, trace the bottom of a round-shaped metal frame pendant onto a sheet of scrapbook paper. Cut out the shape a little smaller than the traced shape. Make sure the circle fits inside the metal frame; then remove the paper circle and set aside. Repeat to make a circle from acetate paper, too. |
Step 2 |
Pour just enough UV resin into cover the bottom of the metal frame. Set your UV lamp over the frame and heat for about a minute. |
Step 3 |
Now, place your multi-heart paper circle inside your metal frame, add more resin to cover the paper circle and heat for another minute. |
Step 4 |
Place your acetate circle over the last resin layer, add more resin to cover the surface of the circle and heat for the duration of the time cycle on the lamp. |
Step 5 |
Cut a dried flower in half but make your cut follow the curve of your metal frame. Place near the bottom, along the edge, of your pendant. Add more resin to cover your dried flower as well as the previous layer and heat. |
Step 6 |
If needed, add a final layer of resin, then heat. If needed, heat for another time cycle or two until your resin is completely cured. |
