valentine's day hanging paper treat cones

These paper cones are easy to make and fun to fill!
Step 1

Measure and cut two complementary designs of scrapbook paper from the pad to 6" x 6" [15.24 cm x 15.24 cm] or 8" x 8" [20.32 cm x 20.32 cm] for a larger cone. Glue the two squares back to back so that you have designs on both sides.

Step 2

Lay the square with a point facing up so that the square now looks like a diamond shape. Roll one edge in, then the other edge in, overlapping. Secure with adhesive tape.

Step 3

Cut strips of paper to make handles for the cones. Adhere the ends to the inside of each side of the cone.

Step 4

Wrap a doily around the cone and secure with a bit of glue, then wrap twine around the cone and tie in a bow or knot.

Step 5

Cut words from the scrapbook pad and tuck under the twine.

Step 6

Fill the cones with wrapped candies or treats!
