true north wood sign

DIY this sign to make the perfect décor piece to add to your home for the summer holiday!
Step 1

Paint the entire inside of the wood sign with White multi-surface paint. Let dry. Repeat a second or third coat, if needed.

Step 2

Paint the border of the sign, the word “TRUE” and the maple leaf with red paint. Let dry. Repeat a second or third coat, if needed.

Step 3

Following the directions on the packaging, place the adhesive sheet onto the back of the scrapbook paper. Leave the second protective film on the sticker sheet. Using scissors, cut the paper down to a square that will be big enough to cover each of the letters “N, R, T, H”.

Step 4

Peel the back of protector of the adhesive paper and place over the letter. With your hand and fingertips, smooth the paper over the letter to get full coverage.

Step 5
Use a X-ACTO® knife to trim away the excess paper following the outline of each letter. Repeat until all four letters are covered.
