tree of life necklace
Step 1 |
Step 1 Cut two 20" lengths of stringing wire. |
Step 2 |
Step 2 Tie each to a separate jump ring and add a dab of glue to the knot. Let dry. |
Step 3 |
Step 3 For the shorter layer, thread 15 small wood beads, one of the largest wood bead and 15 more small wood beads onto a wire. |
Step 4 |
Step 4 Tie the end onto another jump ring and add a dab of glue to the knot. Let dry. |
Step 5 |
Step 5 For the longer layer, thread eight medium wood beads, eight of the largest wood beads, Tree of Life charm, eight more large wood beads and eight medium wood beads onto the second wire. |
Step 6 |
Step 6 Repeat Step 4 for the second layer. |
Step 7 |
Step 7 Tuck all ends into the adjacent beads. Trim of too long. |
Step 8 |
Step 8 Cut four pieces of chain about 4" each. Attach a chain piece to the jump ring at each end of the two beaded layers. TIP: To open and close a jump ring, simply grasp the jump ring on both sides with chain nose pliers and twist the ring open, from side-to-side. Never pull the jump ring which can cause distortion. |
Step 9 |
Step 9 Thread the last link of each chain on one end of both beaded layers onto a jump ring. Close the jump ring. |
Step 10 |
Step 10 Repeat Step 9 on the other side but add a lobster clasp to the jumping before you close. Share your project photos with #MadeWithMichaels |
