They do take a bit longer to dry that archival or pigment inks, but the colors are so beautiful, it's worth it. Do test swatches before you use, because how the color looks on the pad, vs how it will look on your piece can be different than expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Tim Holtz Oxides I am in love with these distress oxides. This one is great to use on mixed media pieces that have trees, flowers or any other natural/nature themes. Also great to use as a border when you've collaged with paper that has shades of green in it. It really enhances the overall look of the work. I have many of the colors it comes in, and used them all. Word of caution, the first time you use it, do a test swatch on some of the paper you want to use it on. Some of the colors look different when applied than how they look in the tin. The names of some of them are a bit deceiving too. I like them better than distress ink because they are more vibrant. If you prefer a more subtle color, the inks would work better for you.
