This project is intended for kids ages 4+. Who doesn't love pet rocks? Take a journey back to the 70's when Pet Rocks first came out. Now you can paint and decorate your rocks any way you want and you'll have a friend for life!

Print Project

Step 1

Use paint to coat the rock in desired colour. Be sure to let the paint dry between coats.
TIP: When you pick a river rock, study the shape of the rock. Does it remind you of something? Whether it be a puppy or a pickle, your pet rock can be anything you create!

Step 2

Create a face and body by attaching wiggle eyes to the rock with glue. Let dry.
