Don’t stitch without it.
I came across thread magic about 15 years ago. It was sent to me as a “Thank you” from a catalog I ordered a cross stitch kit from. The name of the product was then was ThreadHeaven. I tried it and have used it ever since. As soon as the one I am currently using starts to really discolor, I purchase another one. I don’t use it on white or very light threads. The threads will sometimes discolor.

Use with 100% cotton & Natural Fiber threads
I absolutely love this product for hand sewing with 100% cotton threads or any other natural fiber threads. I am teaching my daughter to sew recently and have added this to her sewing kit because it keeps the thread from twisting upon itself causing knots when using longer lengths of thread. It also allows the thread to glide through all types of fabrics, I mean all types, so easily when using the back-n-forth stitch gathered on the needle first then pulled through, to create a straight stitch; it’s the tacking method I teach first before any other, it helps learn how to gauge stitch width and length. I love that the thread magic container is small so you can come in at anytime and reapply later if needed.

Good Product; Worth the Purchase
This is a great product for helping smooth the thread, however, I rated it at 4 stars because it crumbles quickly off the thread, and doesn’t stick around as long as traditional beeswax does when run over the thread. Overall, I’m really happy with it but I do have to reapply frequently when I’m hand sewing. Definitely love the little holder it lives in!

Do you believe in magic?
This really is magic. I decided to use this because is was stitching a needlepoint kit over 30 years old and the thread was dry, stiff and a little frayed. Using this conditioner worked wonders for the thread. It made stitching very fluid with no snagging, eliminated thread tangles and made stitching the 30 year old thread a breeze. Very easy to use and a little goes a long way. A valuable investment for any avid stitcher

Just Like Grandma Did!
Wow..now I know her secret! The old bee's wax trick! Only this is so much easier. Makes thread easier to thread needles and definitely eliminates twisting and knotting in hand sewing. And I am using old thread from my mom's sewing basket that is prone to all sorts of tangles. I am a convert!!

Thread Magic Thread Conditioner
This was purchased on behalf of a friend who is not online. She was very happy to find the exact thread conditioner she has used in hand quilting for many years. She was literally down to a sliver when she mentioned she was in need of more to finish a current project. I showed her the Michael’s app, we pulled up “Thread Magic Thread Conditioner”, and she located the exact product she had used in the past. Fantastic price and product
Fantastic price. I’ve never used Thread Magic Thread conditioner until now. I’ve been cross stitching for ‘ahem’ over 35 years. And never had such a problem with the DMC floss fraying, until now. That’s why I bought the thread magic, since then I’ve had no problems with the thread fraying, thread seems to glide through the Aida cloth.

I use this little tub of magic to condition my embroidery floss. It reduces knotting and friction, which allows my thread to glide easily through the material. I like it better than beeswax as it’s softer and does not shed little flakes.

The gel makes the thread stiff initially, but after sewing with it for a while there’s almost no evidence it was ever used. The gel itself does not merge back together once split. Constantly pushing it back into the container gets old after a while.

Thread Magic works well
Thread conditioner is great for sewing by hand or hand quilting. It keeps the thread from knitting up and makes it glide through the fabric more easily. This product works well. I do wish the little container were larger.

Good product, deceptive packaging
Easy to use and helpful, but deceptive packaging. Turn it over and you find that the bottom is hollowed out. So you get way less product that you think you're getting.
