Step 1 |
Slice a piece of clay from the block. |
Step 2 |
Knead and condition until mouldable. |
Step 3 |
Use an acrylic roller (or a clay machine) to roll the clay out until it is even and a little less than ¼" [0.6 cm] thick. |
Step 4 |
Push a texture sheet into the clay sheet and lift up so the design is debossed into the clay. |
Step 5 |
Cut two shapes with a teardrop cutter. |
Step 6 |
Use a small stylus tool to create a hole in the top of the teardrop shapes. |
Step 7 |
Bake the ivory ovals and olive semi-ovals for 30 minutes at 230°F [110°C]. Remove from oven and set aside to cool. |
Step 8 |
Attach a teardrop shape to an ear wire with a jump ring. |
Step 9 |
Carefully open the loop at the bottom of a fishhook earring, slide it through the hole at the top of an ear wire and close the loop. |
Step 10 |
Repeat Steps 8-9 for a second, matching earring. |
