Rated 5 out of 5 by from All around great hobby knife This hobby knife works very well. I use it to cut tissue paper away from ornaments and to trim excess bark off of wood ornaments. It’s sturdy, sharp, and hets the job done. The downside is that you cannot replace the blade and must buy a new one when the blade is no longer useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Testors hobby knife It’s inexpensive and disposable. But I build lots of models and they last a long time if used correctly. If you break the tip, which is possible save the knife for use on heavy cutting and use the new one one for fine cutting or removal of mold lines, which is where it excels. Get sprue cutters got most cutting and use these for cleanup and tidying up.

I have more expensive hobby knives but when I need a truly straight or square cut, particularly on thicker model or styrene parts, I grab my trusty Testors hobby knife. When used properly, it maintains its sharp edge. Can't beat the price, either. I highly recommend this knife.
