Buy In Store, Check For Sharp Bits
Hook is fine, normal crochet hook, but test the hook with words displaying the size and hook letter on BOTH sides in store if able. The one we got had a sharp bit. Metal file took care of it, but check so you don't have to do this.

Susan Bates hooks are my favorite, and this hook continues in the tradition of this manufacturer. For me, this makes crochet so much more pleasant, as it's easy to grab the yarn and get clean stitches. Every crafter has their own preferences, and some like other brands better, but for me these hooks are simply marvelous! The price is also very reasonable.
