summer pool towel hanger
Step 1 |
First, pour some paint onto a foam plate (or plastic palette) and add a little water to thin the paint. Brush watered-down paint onto your arrow. Set aside to dry. |
Step 2 |
Now, click here for the design in Cricut® Design Space™. Delete, or hide, the language not needed and click ‘Make It’. |
Step 3 |
Click ‘Continue’ in the lower right corner of your screen. |
Step 4 |
Place your first vinyl layer, as shown in the left preview panel, grid-side down onto your cutting mat. Select your material, load your mat into your Cricut® machine and follow the prompts to cut out your design. |
Step 5 |
Once the machine has finished cutting, gently peel the vinyl away from your mat. |
Step 6 |
Use scissors to cut away the vinyl around your design. Next, use your weeder tool to peel away the remaining negative space surrounding the initial and name. When you’re done, only the design itself should be left on the backer paper. |
Step 7 |
Once your sign is completely dry, cut a piece of transfer tape that’s just a bit larger than the biggest layer of your design. Peel away the tape’s backer paper and place the tape, sticky-side down, over the bottom layer of the design. Burnish the vinyl so that it’s completely stuck to the tape. |
Step 8 |
Now, gently peel the white backer paper from the cut-out design, which now should be stuck to the transfer tape. |
Step 9 |
Hold the transfer tape with the design over your surface to determine where you’d like it placed. Make sure, once all layers are added, it is in the centre and straight. Keep in mind, you will also be adding hooks below the design. |
Step 10 |
Press it onto your surface. Burnish the vinyl once more to make sure it’s completely stuck to the surface and gently peel away the transfer tape, leaving the vinyl transferred to your surface. |
Step 11 |
Repeat Steps 7-10 for each layer. |
Step 12 |
Twist four cup hooks into the wood across the centre of your sign. |
Step 13 |
Add a sawtooth picture hanger to back, in the centre. |
