summer fruit and floral wire wreath
Step 1 |
Lay the mesh wire wreath form on a table and position the picks and stems of flowers and fruit around it. Plan to balance the sizes and textures around the wreath as you position. Once you like your plan, take a photo so you can use it as a reference when you begin wiring the pieces to the mesh base. |
Step 2 |
Cut several pieces of floral wire about 4" [10.16cm] so they are ready when you begin wiring on the picks and pieces. |
Step 3 |
Wire the floral picks and stems around the mesh base first. If needed, trim the stem a bit shorter. |
Step 4 |
Wire the fruit picks to the mesh base. Place some of the fruit picks to the outside and inside of the wreath to allow the berries and lemons to drape and have some movement. |
Step 5 |
Fill in the remainder of the wreath and bend the picks and flowers until the wreath looks full and lush. |
Step 6 |
Finish by tying a piece of ribbon to the top for a hanger. |
