Step 2 |
Fold a sheet of white construction paper in half, lengthwise, so you have a card base that measures 9" x 12" [22.86 cm x 30.48 cm]. |
Step 3 |
Decorate the card front with markers with icons such as pineapples (as shown). |
Step 4 |
Trace the tie pattern onto a coordinating sheet of construction paper and cut out the shape. |
Step 5 |
Glue the tie across the top edge of your card front. |
Step 6 |
Fold another sheet of coordinating construction paper into a suit jacket but folding 1/3rd of the left and right sides, lengthwise, towards the centre. Fold the tops at an angle for the lapels and cut notches (as shown). |
Step 7 |
Run glue across the bottom edge and fold the left panel towards the centre. Hold the bottom in place for a few minutes so the glue can start to set. |
Step 8 |
Now, glue the bottom of the right panel over the left. Again, hold the bottom in place for a few minutes so the glue can start to set. |
Step 9 |
Glue a button to the front of the top panel, near the bottom of the suit jacket (as shown). Let glue dry. |
Step 10 |
Write a sentiment on the inside of the card then slide the folded card into the suit jacket-shaped pocket. |
