Nice White Matboard
I found this white matboard upstairs in the custom framing dept, after I had looked and didn't find what I wanted downstairs with the other boards. It's nice and white with a little texture. It's not as heavyweight at the custom matboards in the framing dept, but it did nicely to back a large puzzle that the family put together.

Michael's Personnel
I am always sure that when I come to Michael's the personnel will listen and execute my cuts perfectly. I choose a time when the store is not tooo busy, but even when it is, my salesperson smiles and suggests "look around for a few minutes and it will be ready." And it always is perfectly done. Love it!!!

Wonderful experience in the framing department
What a wonderful experience. Samantha was engaging, attentive, knowledgeable...you name it. She is kind and an active listener - so important in any sort of customer-facing role. I knew from the moment she said hello that I was in good hands.
I'd been to the framing department a few months ago with just a couple of simple questions and the young woman there made me feel as if she was doing me a favor by helping me. I felt like I was being "educated" - never a good feeling for a customer. Anyway, I returned with some trepidation but had nothing to worry about. I mentioned the previous experience to Samantha and she thanked me for giving you another chance. What a great representative of your company.
I was with Nordstrom for 30 plus years (much of that time invested in training new employees in the stores and online) and I "lived" customer service. Samantha is an All-Star!! We all know retail is not always fun or easy and she is a gem.
Please share this feedback with her - she needs to know she makes a difference.

how useful and nice looking the matboard is
The matboard is perfect for mounting your own pictures, drawings, photos, etc. and framing it. You can enjoy the gathering or trip you took, nicely mounted on the matboard and framed, hanging on your wall to enjoy everyday!

Good option for diy framing
Sturdy, but make sure the corners aren’t bent if you are planning on using the whole board. I am cutting mine into a square so it didn’t matter as much. Perfect for a project where I wanted an inexpensive option for framing a print myself.

Used it to back fabric
I bought this to use as backing for fabric to line the drawers of a jewelry box. It worked very well for that purpose. I used Modpodge and the iron on method to attach the fabric. It made for a well adhered lining without taking up too much depth. I took off a star because some of the board edges were a bit bumped and dented so I had to do some trimming. It was a bit pricy, but I had a coupon and rewards that made it almost free!

Thick mat
Purchased but didn’t actually need. Was mounting a diamond dots painting in a frame and with the frame mat and this mat it was too much thickness to fit in the store bought frame. Was slightly difficult to cut but will save for a sturdy poster.
