...causes no damage to my collectible

I love these. They don’t stretch out like the cheaper ones. They may cost a bit more, but you can make sure that your collectible plates will not slip out of these and break.

Works well, needed modification for shallow plates
This plate hanger has held up well for my plates that are actually slightly larger than 8 in. My only critique is that bend on the top of the hanger made my plate jut out, so I had to carefully unbend it bit by bit until my plate could hang flush against the wall.
