Strathmore® 400 Series Acrylic Paper Pad is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 78.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The pairing painting If you use acrylic paint this is a really good thing to have! I’m a beginner but I absolutely love it! It is a little pricey but I think it’s worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but does warp while painting The paper is thick and sturdy and the canvas type finish is nice it takes paint well but the center did bump up and warp a bit during painting I was able to flatten it after putting weight on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenomenal Product This is an awesome product. My only request is that I wish all of your stores had more, you all can never keep enough stock in of this item and always run out. Also the white studio frames 12" X 12" you always run out of as well. Please order more! And please get individual Rembrandt Pastels and & Senelier Pastels to be able to purchase individually. I love your store and always shop there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Textured heavyweight perfect paper I use this for floral cards, handles moisture without curling. Only wished it came in a larger 11”x14” inch size, and wasn’t so expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Strathmore 400 is Great. I use it for quick acrylic paintings. The surface is perfect for the adherence of acrylics. The brilliant white surface adds a crispness to the art.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So convenient Easy to use for quick studies and working out colors and values, before beginning on actual stretched canvas. Great for students.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great substrate for painting small acrylic works Love it but it’s pretty pricey so can’t buy it as often as I’d like.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from this product needs to be thicker This product doesn't take much to start buckling when pain is applied. When I got 1/3 of the way through my painting, it started to bend (warp or buckle). Needs to be thicker to be more stable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is an amazing product if... you know how to use it. It is more for the more experienced artist with lots of experience. If not the person may be dissappointed but for the artist and beginning artist it is a great product for painting with acrylics. and saves you tons of funds too. I would recommend to all levels of artist, the more you experiment with it the more you will love it. I teach and it is a great tool to open up my students experiences. Love it. Buy one have fun and happy creating. God bless.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good enough for a beginner. It takes more firm strokes but good for beginners.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for cyanotypes!!! After experimenting with several watercolor papers, I decided to try this acrylic paper. Cannot believe how well it works for cyanotype prints. Great contrast and great detail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for beginners simulating canvass Inexpensive record of progress, ideas and color mixes

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use as the base for mixed media. This pad of paper for use with acrylics also works well as the foundation for layering papers, fabrics, paints, prints in creating mixed media projects. I taught a collage project at a community studio and used this for the base. We added several layers of materials using gloss gel medium as the glue. This paper held up to the weight without buckling under the moisture and weight. I was very pleased with the performance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use to practice Great product to use to practice painting with acrylics. I am just learning to paint and this is better than using canvas to practice on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 12x12 Strathmore Acrylic pad Great for classwork or practice 400 series: a nice stiff primed surface (thicker than card stock) that handles acrylic, oil, mixed-media very well. It does not soak up your paint like some of the other brands. I've used it for years and have never been dissappointed

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High Quality Acrylic paint pad I would use again only thing is the sheets fall easier. The paint does look good on the pad and is smooth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent results Top quality; used it for 10 years ....highly recommended
Date published: 2017-08-19
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great idea bad Execution The amount of paint I needed to get a full nice even coat wasn't worth the work. The paint almost was clumping up on the paper. It's nice to swatch paint on but full on paintings are not worth the hassle they bring with this paper.
Date published: 2017-07-22
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent paper! My paint goes on smoothly and doesn't take too many coats. I'd recommend this to anyone who's looking for a perfectly square project as it was mildly difficult for me to find a perfect 12x12. It seemed that this was all Michael's carried at those dimensions at the time. However, it is only 10 pages and I definitely wish there were more but I spent quite enough $$ on just these 10 pages.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good alternative A great alternative while traveling for acrylic work without the bulk of boards.
Date published: 2017-05-13
Rated 4 out of 5 by from this product is good for practicing stroke work good product and easier to handle when making smaller sample paintings. If you basecoat with background color you do not get any warping. Will definitely buy again but this time get a larger size.
Date published: 2017-05-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect medium for applying paints!!! This paper rocks! No need for canvases. It holds its own.
Date published: 2017-04-29
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always on hand... As someone trying to self-learn about painting with acrylics (or any other art form), I'm happy to have this paper to do my practice pieces on. To me, it's as good as painting on canvas without the extra cost and space needed to store them. I make it a point to always have this paper on hand. I trust the quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great acrylic paper! I bought this paper as an alternative to canvas wrapped canvases or canvas panels...it really is great! Performs well, mails easily and easy to frame. Always have to keep it around. It's also easy to cut down to a smaller size. Wish this came in a spiral journal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Acrylic paper I love the texture of the paper and the heaviness. It didn't warp it kept its shape and works really well with paint markers.
Date published: 2016-05-09
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good It's difficult to find exactly the things you want; this was about the only thing I could find, though still not what I wanted. It works well as a 'holder of canvas-like sheets' to keep them all together. I left them all together too, as I went to paint the next day. Unfortunately the day was windy, hence the reason I left it in the book and not separated a sheet from the rest. I was trying to paint an image I had in mind, but found that the paint (acrylic-hence the paper) either stuck in one area, or when trying to smooth it out with a bit of water, did not glide over the paper and had streaks. Was it the paint? Was it the paper? I don't know, honestly. However, I'm not complaining because I can live with it and I'll figure out how to work with it.
