Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sand for Art project I did a cave art project with 1st graders. They drew the animal on some crumpled paper and colored them with oil pastels. For an extra special touch, I had them put some glue lines and then sprinkled them with the sand. It is a fine texture and worked perfectly. They loved them on their art almost as much as glitter.
