Step 1 |
Stain the wood plaque and set aside to dry. To do so, apply one coat of stain liberally with a clean lint free cloth (or paintbrush). Allow it to penetrate in the wood for 5-10 minutes then remove excess by wiping with a soft cloth in the direction of the grain. |
Step 2 |
Apply one (or two) layers of chalky paint to a wood letter and let dry. |
Step 3 |
Use sandpaper to sand the edges of the letter for a more rustic appearance. |
Step 4 |
Glue your letter to the plaque with wood glue. Let dry. |
