My long time favorite brand of pencils
Staedtler Mars pencils are my favorite pencil for drawing--it goes on the paper smoothly and over the many years that I have used them, the lead has never broken inside the wood, which is certainly not true for some other brands.

Great pencils at a good value
I’m not a professional artist or illustrator, but I really like these pencils. I have a variety of them (HB, 4B, 6B) and find them perfect for my sketches. My son uses them as well and finds them perfect for his middle school art class.
