"The USPS requires your letter-sized envelopes to be a minimum of 3.5 inches tall by 5 inches wide and a maximum of 6.125 inches tall by 11.5 inches wide. " if you make the card too thick to go through machines - then it might cost more. These are great cards. I like that the envelopes are not way bigger than the cards.
