Not the usual smoothness
I’ve used this brand of markers for years, & have always found them to write beautifully the first moment I used them. These, however, are scratchy & write unevenly. Disappointing, as I was using them for holiday cards. Wonder if they’re too old or such? No expiration date on them.

Calligraphy Markers, Strong Nibs
These markers have been consistently a great tool for my calligraphy business. I can always count on the nibs to be hard and not soften.

Disappointing
I was really disappointed with these markers. The colors are muddled and dark, not at all the bright pigments I was expecting. While the marker itself is firm and easy to hold, it does not glide easily and feels dry. I would not recommend these markers to a friend.

Solid tool for quick callig.
I've used these pens for decades and Michael's is the only place I can find them. For simple jobs not requiring specialty inks, this item fills the bill.

Speedball Elegant Writer Calligraphy Pens
About 90 % of the time the pens I purchase have a long writing life. They are exactly what I need to teach Calligraphy to my students and usually last through the school year unless abused by the students. With 70-80 students per year, I purchase a lot and depend on the quality of the 2.5 tip for our work. I mentioned 90% because some packs do come with dry, hard tips or very little ink. Great product though.

Love the way they right
Love the way they right, great bold dark colors. If you don't hold them just right though they don't write as well.

not too bad, not great
The only way to use these is by using the fat end. It doesn't even look like calligraphy because they only write when pressed really hard and if they are completely vertical while only using the fat tip. The edge of the tip doesn't write AT ALL
