I like this elastic better than most products out there. The thickness is good and can hold up to preschoolers pulling on their necklace creations. The string stays tied and will not slip like the vinyl or plastic cord. Cute colors too.

Nice Elastic
I used this for masks and it works very well. It does not hurt or irritate ears at all. The sparkle is pretty but very understated. I wasn't sure because it is so narrow, but it is perfect.

Cord Diameter is 1.3 mm
the packaging doesn't mention it but I believe this cord diameter is 1.3 mm. Great for mask making as it does not irritate behind the ears like a thicker elastic would.

Product is not as discribed on Michaels web page!
I drove 30 miles each way to pick up two packages of this item. To make over cover face masks for my local hospital. During the coronavirus! I was able to order, and pick up curbside. But "Thick Elastic Sparkle Cord" Is skinny!!!! You cannot return items curbside now. I'll wait until store reopens, and make another 1 hour round trip to return these items.
Very mad at Michaels for being so cavelier with my time!
Packaging card that cord is wrapped around says "18 YD/ 16.4 m". But illustration of item on the webpage has
"6-3 yds /2.7 m" on the packaging card that the cord is wrapped around.
So this is not the same item as illustrated!!!! And I drove an hour to get it!
I called the store back after curbside pick up. They were very nice. but said that is what it is according to thier SKU. And if the elastic cord is too skinny I can braid it!
So I am not the first customer that was fooled by their picture and info on their web page?
DO NOT BUY THIS FOR USING ON FACE MASKS!!!! IT IS TOO SKINNY!!!!!
