good for what it is
i've bought the bigger hardbound artist loft sketchbooks and was pleasantly surprised to find they also sell small ones with the same paper. this takes pencil and pens well with no bleed through. it will even survive a very very light wash of watercolors without warping too bad. i like it for what it is and for the price, it's awesome.

Must have gotten a bad batch
I cant understand how anyone gave this product a good review after trying out anything other than pencil on this paper! if i tried to use any kind of marker water or alcohol the ink would soak into the paper and show all these spots in the page that looked like it might have been the cellulose fibers?
I tried lining some work and the paper just took every flipping thing i tried and had it bleed out all over. even my ballpoint pens looked all fuzzy!
Im hoping this was just a bad bath of sketch books becasue i love the cover design and the convience of it but i literally could do nothing with the paper than came with it so i ripped it out and just stitched in my own signatures of my walmart brand premium drawing paper which performed so much better for me.

Very satisfactory
I use my sketchbooks as a place for drawings, notes, and watercolor practice. The paper has been more than I expected. My pens don't bleed through and it holds up well to my watercolor. The cover designs are fun and colorful. I'd have given it a full five stars, but the binding is a saddle stich so it can feel a little awkward to use at times, but aside from that I have no complaints. I will buy this product again.

Awesome and cute product!
I LOVE the design on the front and the pages seem great for sketches, I don't paint or use markers much, so I don't know how well the hood up to that. I love these sketchbooks!
