I followed directions via the model instructions and the YouTube videos from Singer on how to get started. My machine keeps jamming and now I cannot get the thread out from underneath the foot as my needle is also stuck and the hand wheel is jammed. The manual doesn’t explain how to fix this problem. I’m disappointed in this purchase, unsure if I can return it as it’s open and it’s been longer than 30 days since it’s been purchased….

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Perfect for Beginners It all started with my daughter having to sew for a school project, we figured this would be a great purchase for herself and myself , for both of us to learn on . We have had it since May of 2023 and it’s almost September 2023 . We had lots of snags with jamming but quickly realized it was our error by not loading the bobbin in the proper direction . We still haven’t figured out how to use all of the stitching applications yet so we’re just using what the dial has to to offer . I will say I wish this come with an actual book manual as I dislike having to look things up online , also same for how to access all the stitch patterns, but overall I’d say if your a beginner it’s a nice machine and make sure your loading the bobbin in the bottom bobbin case in the right direction to prevent those jams

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Probably the best mechanical machine I started in September 2022, I have been sewing with this machine since then. No problems. Get it regularly serviced. After learning more about my machine, whatever little problem I had I was able to solve. I've looked at other brands, machines, and so far I believe I made the right choice. I don't plan on getting a new machine pretty much ever. Unless it's an antique.
