Rated 2 out of 5 by from not good for beginners i knew it wasnt be as great as the other big sewing michaines . but i thought it would be good for simple and beginner projects . but there were some prombles with it keeps jamming , and eating up my fabric and its pulling on my string to tight .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I don’t mind it I got this machine as an in between and I’m sad to see so many bad reviews because it has actually worked quite well! I’ve made jeans, jacked, hemmed dresses & sweatpants! After a few needle breaks I just looked online and switched to the ones more suitable to my fabric. I will say however, and this may be my fault, I can only use straight stitch. Any other stitch breaks my thread or jams my needle up. Now again. This could be because I’m not setting the tension right, but beside’s that, it’s worked as well as it should!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Zero Star Rating I was excited to buy this sewing machine and use it for simple sewing projects. I did a test of the stitches. I started with two straight stitches before switching to a zigzag stitch. After trying to switch back to a straight stitch, it never worked properly and the stitch knob would not line up. I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed. I would give this sewing machine a zero star rating if available. I’m returning it ASAP.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Basic machine for mending and simple sewing Essential to route thread and bobbin correctly and make sure it goes under and out the back of the foot or it will birds nest every time. Pay attention to the thread tension setting. Bobbin and thread spool appear to spin almost too freely, keep an eye on it. One speed. Lack of an on/off switch for power is disappointing. Intended on purchasing the M34 as a gift. Online showed it as in stock at local store but this machine was all they had. Probably going to return it, however, at present there are very few sewing machines in stock anywhere in Calgary because of spike in sales due to covid restrictions.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A total piece of crap I have only used it for two days. It constantly breaks the thread; it is impossible to do more advanced stitches. The needle jumps up, misses stitches and then breaks the thread. You get what you pay for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I used this for about two days I only used this machine for two days and I already hate it. Any sort of snag in the fabric and I the needle thread breaks or comes out of the needle there’s already wear on it

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Compact Lightweight Good travel machine I purchased to use while camping and for daughter to bring to college after summer. I have been sewing for 20+ years and own several higher end machines so I didn't expect this to be fancy, just adequate for sewing masks and basic projects. The machine works pretty well but is a little finicky. It took me an afternoon of playing around to get it working well. I found that thread spools hop around too much when sewing. Thread would catch on the spool holder, causing snag/break/or skipped stitches. Heavier thread worked better. I finally swapped to cone thread on a heavy stand to the right- that worked much better (this takes away the advantage of being small and portable). After changing thread, I was able to do the many masks I had to get done. Overall it's OK, I wouldn't suggest it as a primary machine that would be used a lot, but for travel or occasional dorm use, it is decent. The top bobbin is a good feature compared to other tiny machines in a similar price range.
