Print Project

Step 1

First, click here for the digital design library on michaels.com.

Step 2

Download the design you would like to use for your t-shirt.
TIP: Look for the Black History Month designs under the 'Diversity & Inclusivity' category tab in the digital design library.

Step 3

Upload the designs into your cutting machine’s software.

Step 4

Now, cut your design from various Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV).
TIP: Don’t forget to mirror your design before cutting.

Step 5

Next, use scissors to cut the design from each HTV roll. Use your weeder tool to remove all the excess material around and inside your design so you are left with just the reversed design on the clear plastic carrier sheets, which are slightly sticky.

Step 6

See instructions included with your heat press to attach your design to your t-shirt.
TIP: Press each layer, one at a time, starting with the bottom layer. Press the black hearts first then use it as a guide to add the various shades of hearts to complete your design.

Step 7

If your material is the warm peel type, you may go ahead and peel off the carrier sheet. If your material is a cool peel type, let it cool completely before removing the carrier sheet.
