Step 1 |
Mix 140 mL of clear casting resin according to directions. |
Step 2 |
Place mould on a protected surface, like a silicone mat (or parchment paper), and pour resin to fill mould. |
Step 3 |
To create the rainbow bloom background, select a rainbow of shades from the resin dye alcohol inks, along with the white alcohol ink. Put single drops of dye in a row across the butterfly. Put a single drop of white alcohol ink directly over the top of each dye drop. |
Step 4 |
Let resin cure for 12-24 hours. |
Step 5 |
To bring out the etched design, brush acrylic paint over the surface, let it dry a bit, and then wipe it off with a baby wipe (or wet cotton swab). |
